Austin Born
and Bread

We’re getting back to our roots to where it all started.

Austin Eatery. Hand-made.
Two-hand-eaten.

We were born and raised in Austin since 1971. We’re not just Austin-inspired. We are Austin. And we needed a name that no one would soon forget.

Schlotzsky’s first opened a small shop on South Congress, where we introduced The Original, served on the same toasted, house-made sourdough that we serve today. And if we ran out of bread that day, we closed our doors because we cared as much about freshness then as we do now. If you can believe it, we served that sandwich on a frisbee. Because to us, food is all about having fun. And fun is all about letting food fly.

Today, we still serve The Original (although no longer on a frisbee) and many of your favorites, even as we go back to our roots and explore what has made this town unique.

Welcome to Schlotzsky’s Austin Eatery, where we experiment with flavors. Where we mix things up. Where we live, breathe, and devour what this town’s all about. Add to that a heap of unique flavors and handcrafted creations—like the Sweet N’ Sassy Sliders and Brisketeer Mac —that’ll stage-dive all over your tongue.

Go ahead — try them all. And you’ll find yourself smack dab in the middle of an Austin food truck park, surrounded by the vibe that made our city famous.

Different? Absolutely. Ordinary? Never.
