 Need to get some work done, but keep getting interrupted at work? Want to check email and grab some great food in between meetings? Schlotzsky's® Cool Cloud™ wireless network and Cool Deli™ Computer Stations mean visitors to our restaurants can now connect to the Internet for free. Cool Cloud wireless network users can use their own computer and wireless Internet access card to get connected while others can simply sit down at Cool Deli™ stations to jump online and check email or surf the web.

This means you can now use the Internet, while you enjoy a tasty lunch, coffee break, or dinner. Our goal is to extend this service into neighborhoods, schools, libraries and community centers.

If you are new to wireless networks - WIFI - here's some basic information to get you started. If you have further questions, please contact your wireless hardware vendor for technical support.

  • Schlotzsky's hotspots are 802.11b-compliant. This means it should work with any 802.11b-compliant device, including but not limited to Macintosh and Windows computers equipped with an 802.11b-compliant wireless networking card; we cannot guarantee any manufacturer's compatibility, but we have tested all our hotspots with both Macintosh and Windows computers. We have chosen not to implement any encryption on our network for reasons of simplicity and performance.
  • The SSID is "cool cloud" (without the quotes). Most wireless networking software will auto-detect the SSID, but if you have software that does not detect the SSID automatically, you will need this information.
  • If you cannot connect to our network with this information, you should contact your wireless equipment vendor for support.
  • If you would like suggestions as to where to get started with wireless networking, we recommend going to a local retailer such as Fry's or CompUSA to speak with a salesperson about how to get started. Also, computer manufacturers like Dell and Apple can sell laptop computers that are pre-configured for wireless networking.
