GETTING OUR BUNS IN GEAR
Schlotzsky’s at Lamar provides additional support to Austin YMBL Sunshine Camps and the Schlotzsky’s® Bun Run® by ordering and storing supplies, and donating food for Austin YMBL Sunshine Camp and Bun Run events. They also provide a place for Bun Run organizers to have planning meetings so that the event can be a success. The Schlotzsky’s at Lamar supports local schools through fundraisers and the Schlotzsky’s Community Support Program and donates to various Austin charities. Currently this location is available for additional fundraisers for schools, churches, and non-profit organizations. Each summer since 1983, Schlotzsky’s has proudly supported the annual Schlotzsky’s® Bun Run® which is Austin’s longest-running 5K run.
The Annual Schlotzsky’s® Bun Run® hosts an average of 5,000 participants and raises an average of $50,000 for Austin YMBL Sunshine Camps. Austin YMBL Sunshine Camps is a non-profit organization that offers summer camps to disadvantaged and at-risk youths educating them about leadership, team-building and trust. Hosted by the Young Men’s Business League of Austin (YMBL).
