Placing a Face Behind the Buns
Fred has been with the Schlotzsky’s team since 1999. After getting hired over a decade ago, it only took him five short months to receive a promotion from restaurant manager to general manager. He thought Schlotzsky’s was different from anything else he knew and was a great concept in which he could have a great quality of life. Currently, Fred serves as the General Manager at the Schlotzsky’s at Lamar in Austin, Texas.
He describes the store atmosphere at the Schlotzsky’s at Lamar as fun and positive. You can enjoy some smooth jazz tunes while dining at this location. The most enjoyable part of Fred’s job is taking care of his customers and making sure that they leave happier than when they arrived. In fact, customer service is the top priority for Fred as a General Manager. In two words Fred sums up the importance of customer service, “It’s everything!”
