Placing a Face Behind the Buns 
Victor has been a part of the Schlotzsky’s team since 1999. He made the move from El Paso, Texas to Austin, Texas where he fell in love with the city and the Schlotzsky’s brand. Victor embarked onto the Schlotzsky’s scene as a restaurant manager and after only 10 months he received a promotion. Currently, Victor serves as the General Manager at the Schlotzsky’s at Lamar in Austin, Texas.
He describes the store atmosphere at the Schlotzsky’s at Lamar as happening because it is always busy with customers. Victor states, “I love for my customers and employees to have a warm feeling about coming to eat at Schlotzsky’s. I do my best to try to make our customers feel comfortable.” Here, you will find jukebox gold music, an assortment of oldies ranging from the ‘60s-‘80s to current hit tracks playing to enlighten your dining experience. Victor always enjoys seeing his customers walking by while singing some of the songs. He absolutely LOVES everything about Schlotzsky’s and thinks of his crew members like family. He says, “It’s all about having the proper attitude every day!” His top priority is customer service and then he focuses on the integrity of his crew members and the appearance of the store.
Victor believes it is the Fresh-from-Scratch® Bread and superior customer service that makes Schlotzsky’s different and better than our competitors. He elaborates, “Anybody can make a sandwich, but our bread is what makes Schlotzsky’s!” So, come on in and meet Victor today!
